Not to true to size or slim fit label

I have an athletic build 180lb and 6ft tall, ordered a medium and the shirt fits like a dress. It's labeled as slim fit and not even close to that. I do really love this style of shirt but be with careful with how they label "slim fit" with some of their shirts as its hit and miss.
