cheap and nasty!

Low quality feel straight out of the bag. There are high quality, lightweight fabrics out there and there is cheap, thin rubbish. This is the latter. The fabric felt like the worst plasticy, low quality, high sheen garbage you'd associate with Bezos' bargain basement basics.
