What to Wear to Your First Spin Class

What to Wear to Your First Spin Class

Categories

Spin classes are a mystery to most of us. You might've caught a glimpse of a session whilst working your butt off on the gym floor, but let's be real, you've never actually thought of giving it a go.

We wouldn't blame you. The distant sound of crazy music, random yelling and frantic pedalling can be, well, intimidating. But with luxe and boutique spin studios like Psycle, Dynamo, Soul Cycle and XYZ  opening their doors to more people than ever before, there's never been a better time to try it out.

Wherever you choose to spin, you'll need the right gear. Take a look at our personal favourite styles to saddle up in...

FOR HER

TOP: PRO PERFORM SPORTS BRA + SHRUG
BOTTOM: PRO PERFORM LEGGINGS
ACCESSORY: 2.2L WATER BOTTLE

The key thing to remember here is you are going to sweat. Keeping your clothing light, breathable and easy to move in is all-important.

The Pro Perform Shrug is ideal for when you want that little extra coverage, without compromising on breathability. Mesh panelling allows for targeted ventilation where you need it most, so you can focus on the bike when working up a sweat.

FOR HIM

TOP: CRUCIAL TANK
BOTTOM: SPORT SHORTS
ACCESSORY: 2.2L WATER BOTTLE

Light fabrics and wide, low-cut drop armholes are your friend - the Crucial Tank is ideal for keeping cool when class is getting intense.

We know it can be scary starting something new but, trust us, you won't be the only first-timer.

TIP: If you show up a little early your instructor can help talk you through the session and set your saddle and handlebars up to suit.
