Sometimes we all need a little help from our friends, especially during a tough training session...
SEPTEMBER 07th |
SINCE COMING IN OVERWEIGHT FOR TWO OF HIS SIX UFC OUTINGS, DARREN TILL HAS DEFINITELY LEARNT HIS LESSON AND WAS TAKING NO CHANCES TODAY, COMING IN AT 169LBS.
Despite facing a lot of questions in the lead up to the fight, Till has quite literally stuck his middle fingers up to those who doubted him.
Things weren't quite as plain sailing for Champ Woodley who tipped the scale, coming in at 171lbs.
After removing his shorts, Tyron Woodley came in at 170lbs.
THE FIGHT IS ON.

This evening marks the day that Tyron Woodley puts his 170lbs strap on the line against undefeated Brit, Darren Till...
With bookmakers now leaning towards the title changing hands in the main event of the UFC 228, it's been said that 'The Gorilla' is currently 7/10 to claim UFC Gold and has already been made aware of his first title fight if successful.
Perennial UFC welterweight contender Kamaru Usman weighed in on Friday as a potential replacement for Till if he missed weight, but the 'Nigerian Nightmare' won't be next in-line for the championship.
UFC President, Dana White has revealed that it will be former, interim welterweight champion, Colby Covington, who gets the chance to fight the winner of Woodley Vs. Till.

CROWDS REACTION TO DARREN TILL'S FINAL FACE OFF, SPEAKS VOLUMES.
UFC President, Dana White didn't seem surprised to see the difference in how the crowd reacted to both men involved in the main event this weekend.
"Tyron Woodley is good-looking, he's got the perfect physique, he's got the record and he's got knockout power in both hands but every time Tyron Woodley opens his mouth, he shoots himself in the foot," White reported to BT Sport.
"He's a very unlikeable guy to fight fans and Till is the exact opposite".
"When you're from England and you're in the United States, in Texas, and they're booing the American guy and cheering the English guy, I think that sums it up and says it all about how your fans feel about you."

WITH SWEET CAROLINE BLASTING THROUGH THE AMERICAN AIRLINES CENTRE, DALLAS, GOOD TIMES NEVER SEEMED SO GOOD.
ROUND 1 | WOODLEY
Woodely is loose to start, Till advances in. Despite a trip takedown, Till resists and stays up...
Ref steps in quickly and separates them. Both Till and Woodley paw with lead hands, Till slowly closes in, but Woodley explodes forward. Till jabs in but Woodley feints, ducking the jab and then circles off.
Woodley kicks high, missing whilst Till waits patiently for his opportunity.
Halfway point. It's feint game as Till tries to time his straight left, Woodley swings away, grabs Tills leg and muscles him to the frame. It's foot stomps and knees all round from the champ.
Warning from the ref.
Till turns Woodley with less than one minute to go, ref once again separates them.
Till inches slowly back in, drawing counters from Woodley. Till's left is blocked, Woodley tries his right hand. The round is concluded with a blocked high kick.
ROUND 2 | WOODLEY
Till inches in and gets immediately dropped by a right hand from Woodley.
The current Champ pounds away, but Till is still there, turning away, Woodley cuts Till.
A big elbow slams Till's head and Woodley returns to guard. Half guard and the elbows start, Till's bleeding and scrambles out to avoid being mounted. Till sits up whilst Woodley still works elbows.
Less than two minutes to go and Woodley gets space, landing hard right hands. Now he’s looking to set up a d’Arce, Till taps.
