SOME WORDS FROM THE CREATOR HIMSELF:

"Use the rule of thirds grid. This ensures that the scene you are shooting is as aesthetically pleasing as possible - placing the most interesting part of the scene either directly in the middle, or, in the corner where the grid lines intersect."

TOP TIP FOR SHOOTING THIS STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY?

"Wait until sunrise or sunset before shooting photos! This ensures that the light from the sun becomes soft and golden - shooting in midday light usually results in harsh shadows and blown out colours."

SOME WORDS FROM THE CREATOR HIMSELF:

"If your lens isn't wide enough to get the whole scene into the frame - use a technique called the 'Brenizer Method' where you take several images and then stitch them together in post-production. It gives the effect of a wide angled lens without actually needing to own one."

*The Brenizer method was used in the above right image.

TOP TIP FOR SHOOTING THIS STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY?

"Take your time! I spent somewhere between 2-3 hours, walking around every inch of the lake just to be able to capture it from all the best angles."

TOP TIP FOR SHOOTING THIS STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY?

"Go out as often as you can and practice, even if it's just in your backyard. You have to be familiar with the composition and different lighting scenarios that every hour of the day has to offer.

The thing you've got to remember, is that you don't need an expensive camera to take a picture - it's more about knowing how to use the camera to its full potential."
