Get ready for your Monday motivation after all those Easter Eggs...
We're back with a #NewMusicFriday you definitely want to stick around for...
Albums from Meek Mill and 6ix9ine plus trending tracks from Travis Scott, Skrillex and Chance The Rapper.
Meek Mill has released his long-awaited album Championships, which is his first album since being released from prison in April. The 19 track album packs some heavy collaborations, with verses from Jay Z, Drake, Rick Ross, Future and more.
Jay Z has also taken a hit at Kanye West on his verse in 'What's Free', a track based on 'What's Beef' by Notorious BIG... Jay Z mocks Ye's support for Donald Trump, finishing with the line "My house like a resort, my house bigger than yours."
Notable tracks from Championships include What's Free, Going Bad and Uptown Vibes. Be sure to listen to the entire album as all 19 tracks are fire.
Dropping earlier this week, the first studio album by 6ix9ine titled Dummy Boy, went out to the public just as the rapper faces a 32 year to life imprisonment sentence, with his trial due to start in 2019.
The rapper certainly fits the current generation, becoming (in)famous via social media trending a unique, colourful look and outlandish behaviour.
Better known for his Instagram than his lyrical talent, Tekashi 6ix9ine's first album has some catchy beats and features some fantastic artists... So if 6ix9ine isn't your thing, Dummy Boy is still worth a listen, thanks to verses from Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, Tory Lanez, Bobby Smurda and more... Listen to the album below.
Travis Scott & Skrillex
Skrillex has whipped up a remix of Travis Scott's Sicko Mode, which featured Drake and Swae Lee. During an interview with Billboard, Skrillex and Travis Scott also mentioned the possibility on more collaborations in the future; including original content, which we are totally game for!
Travis Scott and Skrillex is definitely something to blast through your headphones during leg day. Listen below.
Chance the Rapper
Chance the Rapper has dropped two new singles which he kept hush about pre-release, similar to his releases earlier in 2018. The first track is titled The Man Who Has Everything and follows a chilled, feel-good vibe with a Christmas theme.
The second single titled My Own Thing features Joey Purp and follows a more upbeat tempo. With lyrics many would consider the opposite to modern-day rappers, Chance asks fans not to hit up his DMs and expresses his loyalties to his woman. A refreshing twist on today's current extravagant, ego-driven hip-hop scene. Listen to both tracks below.
