In need of some inspiration during your Gymshark 66 journey? Don't panic - we've got you covered!
Can you tell our Central subscribers a little bit about yourself?
Hey, I’m Lloyd! I'm 24 and originally from Manchester but have lived in Germany, London and now, Birmingham!
I studied Fashion Design at the University of Westminster and was lucky enough to intern at a mix of high fashion houses and sports brands, giving me a pretty diverse background.
How did you first become interested in design?
I was always interested in art and design from a young age.
I spent quite a few years working on my photography and styling, working with a multitude of modelling agencies and publications and this naturally lead me down the design route.
What’s your favourite thing about working for Gymshark?
I love the creative freedom that you’re given here at Gymshark.
There is a real sense of creative culture and nurturing here. The whole process is collaborative and we are lucky enough to have a real diverse mix of skills, so each and everyday we are all learning from each other.
If you’re allowed, can you give us an idea of what you’re working on at the moment?
I look after the men’s performance range.
We are currently spending a lot of time developing new and innovative, technical products that aren’t currently in market…watch this space!
How do you find inspiration for your designs?
I look all over for my inspiration! I am naturally drawn to textures, shapes and graphics for inspiration.
I also love to look at garment archives to really understand the history of a product and the manufacture and see how we can re-appropriate techniques for contemporary designs, with modernity always at the forefront.
What are you most excited about when it comes to the future of Gymshark?
I’m really excited to see the growth of Menswear within the business. We are coming out with a multitude of new styles, cuts, fabrics and techniques that we haven’t done before.
Keep your eyes peeled.
Finally, give us a fact about yourself or your time here. Something that maybe not everybody knows…
I've never been drunk before, never eaten meat, never…had fun. No, I’m still a laugh though, I promise.
