Move over Aloe Vera; it looks like there is a new health juice – Celery.

Why shot celery juice?
So, why are people shotting celery juice?
Well, in theory, the benefits are very appealing.
Celery juice has been credited with relieving inflammation and helping to improve your gut microbiome. Others have even gone as far as claiming that it can help cure mystery illnesses and rid your body of nasty toxins.
Sounds great, right?
But before you go raiding the cupboard and whipping out your blender, let’s look to science to see whether it is actually worth it.
What does the science say?
It turns out, the claims about celery might not be totally wrong.
Celery is full of antioxidants, which can help with a variety of different ailments.
Studies have also shown that celery does, in fact, contain anti-inflammatory properties and, although limited, some animal-based studies have revealed that celery might be able to help with cholesterol and blood pressure.
Keep in mind though, while science does support some of these claims, when it comes to celery curing mystery chronic conditions, there is little scientific evidence to support this.
So, is it worth a shot?
Sure! Celery juice is definitely not dangerous, and recent studies have shown that there are some potential benefits.
However, make sure you’re not overdoing it. Too much celery might have you visiting the toilet a little more often than you might like…
