Gymshark 66 | Thank You

Categories

Gymshark 66 has officially come to an end.

Well, the 66 days are up, but we hope you are still continuing on your fitness journey.

We also wanted to say thank you to those of you who participated - it was incredible to follow your progress.

So, we figured it was time to showcase these amazing transformations!

Not only were these transformations physical, but also mental, and we cannot thank you enough for documenting this.

There were so many to choose from, but here are a few that stuck with us!

"I know I don't have the best physique, this challenge for me made me change in all the habits that I had.

I put all my effort into each day that went by, I made every meal worth it, every drink of water, every work out I came back stronger. I enjoyed every minute of what I did.

I found that connection of mind and body to establish discipline, I know that this challenge is over, but for me it is only the beginning. I’m very proud of what I have achieved, the changes I have made. It is not easy to make 8 meals, drink more than 4 litres of water a day, go to school and train, but everyone works for what they want, because nothing comes to you unless you work for it.

I had surgery 7 months ago and many people told me that I would not be able to come back from it. Look at me now.

Everything is in my mind. I thank God for the opportunity to let me live every day and do what I love. Thank you so much to all the people who supported me on this journey that is not over yet. Thank you so much Gymshark for giving me the opportunity to participate in this challenge and Elliot Burton for motivating us every day.

And massive thanks to Ben Francis for making it possible. Day 66/66

"Well, here it is guys!

My 66 day transformation!

Looking at the before pictures, I was unmotivated and depressed. Now, I am happier, stronger and much more confident. During this time, I actually put on a few lbs, and lost 3% body fat.

I got my 3D body scan a few days ago which told me my results! Which I’m super proud of. That’s why I don’t like going by the scale. My journey is not over!

Now I’m going to lean down more for summer! I cannot wait! I’ve been going to the gym 2-3 hours a day 5-6 times a week. It’s not easy and some days I did not want to wake up at 4:40 AM but I made myself, and I’m so damn proud of it too!

One thing I have learnt from this journey is I should love my body regardless of how much I weigh or look. I am blessed to be alive and healthy."

"Day 66/66 of the Gymshark challenge complete.

On January 1st, I came across the Gymshark66 challenge on instagram through the Gymshark advertisement with Elliot Burton in it. I phoned my twin brother straight away and told him we are doing this together.

I (Ruraidh) started my journey at 82kg (180lbs) and I have managed to reach 74kg (163lbs) a total of 8kg (17.6lbs) lost.

David started his journey at 93kg (205lbs) and has managed to reach 82kg (180lbs) a total of 11kg (24.2lbs) lost.

We have loved every day of this challenge and would like to thank Gymshark for this opportunity. We have met a lot of like minded people on Instagram with the same passion and goal as us and that is definitely the best part about the competition - the community it has made. This is just the beginning of our journey for the year and we are on day 66/365. So, come on, let’s do it bro.

We are going to crush it this year - best shape of our lives!

Well done to everyone that has entered the competition and remember to keep that fire burning and set yourself new goals. Thank you all for liking and commenting on our posts. We appreciate it so much."

"We’re officially sixty-six days into 2018 and that marks the end of the #Gymshark66

Apparently it takes sixty-six days to form a habit and, while I didn’t necessarily form a habit to follow over the course of this challenge, I have used the challenge to constantly remind me of what I want to achieve this year and continually work towards that.

It seems to have worked! I have seen improvements in both my squat, bench and deadlift (oh, and some cheeky triple digit hip thrusts)

However, for me, with this challenge being a constant reminder of my 2018 goals, it has also reinforced the idea of ‘perfection’.

Your journey to your goals may not be perfect or as you first expected. They may take longer than you initially thought or other goals may come to the forefront.

It’s not about perfection. It’s about striving to be the best you can be.

This is just the start. 2018 or the years to come may not be picture perfect. I may not achieve that double body weight deadlift. Anything can happen! That’s the beauty of it.

Here’s to the rest of the not 100% perfect all the time year. Let’s make it the best it can be!"

From everyone here at Gymshark, thank you.

Your journeys continue to inspire us daily.
