For Your Rest Day | Horror Movies To Watch This Halloween

 The Exorcist (1973)

One of the most profitable horror movies ever made, The Exorcist paved the way for horrors.

Based loosely on real events, The Exorcist follows 12-year-old Regan who begins to exhibit abnormal behaviour after playing with a Ouija board.

If you don’t fancy watching it, just look up things that happened during and after filming… it is a little odd.

The Shining (1980)

The film follows Jack Torrance; an aspiring writer, recovering alcoholic (classic), and bit of an asshole. His son, Danny, possesses psychic abilities and a whole bunch of creepy stuff happens.

This film is made so terrifying through Jack Nicholson’s performance and Danny’s little ‘Redrum’ outbursts.

The Silence Of The Lambs (1991)

Clarice Starling, a trainee FBI agent, seeks the advice of imprisoned cannibal, Dr. Hannibal Lecter, to help in the investigation of “Buffalo Bill” the serial killer.

Anthony Hopkins performance as a cannibal is utterly stunning, there is no other word for it.

Also, the musical score is incredible.

The Hills Have Eyes (2006)

Don’t eat before watching this movie.

It really is a great film to watch at Halloween.

The film follows the Carter family who are travelling from Ohio to California and are told to take a shortcut through the hills by a gas station attendee.

Before long, their tyres are punctured, and they are targeted by the group of mutant monsters who have developed a taste for human flesh.

Get Out (2017)

Chris Washington, a photographer, agrees to meet the family of his girlfriend, Rose Armitage.

Her family are overly accommodating, and as the weekend progresses, some pretty disturbing discoveries are uncovered…

This movie is incredibly clever, and it’s not just your typical ‘blood, guts, screaming, kill everyone’ type horror movie.
